The Heritage Eagle Football team soared to a sixth TAPPS Division III Six-man State Championship in Zephyr this past weekend. They defeated Longview Trinity Titans, 46-16 with traditional Heritage hard-nosed play. Joe Lucas’s tremendous hits and Parker Patillo’s fleet footed running in the early 3rd quarter led to a dominating 2nd half. Great coaching and teamwork led to the culmination of an excellent season. This band of brothers portrayed true hupomone on and off the field leading up to a well-deserved victory.
